- Project No. 568-11-121, Quarters 144 Womens Hoptel Conversion. The project involves conversion of Quarters 144 at the VA Medical Center, Fort Meade, South Dakota, in to a 4 bedroom Hoptel Unit with individual bathrooms. The work includes completely removing all interior partitions, doors, ceilings and all mechanical and electrical systems. The new renovated 1800 SF area shall contain 4 separate bedrooms a common living area and a small kitchenette. Work items will include demolition, exterior concrete, interior wood framing, wood doors, millwork, insulation, gypsum board, painting ceramic tile, carpet, toilet and bath accessories, kitchen equipment, fire suppression system, plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems. Award of this project will be in accordance with Public Law (PL) 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Health Care and Information Technology Act of 2006. It is set-aside 100% for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). Effective October 1, 2010 all SDVOSB's must be registered in the VetBiz Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database, as well as VERIFIED by the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization's Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) PRIOR to receiving an award under the program. This project is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. The magnitude of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. NAICS: 236118, Sz Std: $33.5 million, P&S: Z-169.
