- The National Park Service contemplates issuing a sole source contract to purchase Propane and Rental of Propane Tanks for FY-12. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation. NAICS Code is 454312. The National Park Service, Mesa Verde National Park, Montezuma County, Colorado has plans to award to Fraley & Company, Inc. for propane used in the heating and cooling of buildings, and rental of 29 tanks ranging from 250 gallon to 1000 gallon located within the park boundaries. Fraley & Company, Inc. owns 29 out of the 34 tanks within Mesa Verde Nationa Park. No other propane company can fill another company's tanks per Colorado State Statue 8-20-302. Also, due to the time and distance to deliver propane in the Park, it would not be cost effective for another company to fill the remaining 5 tanks owned by the Park. However, interested firms or persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this announcement will be considered by the Governemt. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely for the purpose of dermining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
