- This project consists of the construction of the Pinecrest East Shore Day Use recreation area. Includes the installation of a new composting restroom, floating pier, and miscellaneaous day use recreation amenities. The Pinecrest Iast Shore Day Use Area is located on the Summitt Ranger District of the Stanislaus National Forest. It is located by Pinecrest Lake in Pinecrest, CA off Highway 108 approximately 25 miles east of Sonora. Pinecrest East Shore Day Use Area can only be reached by foot or by boat. In general, it is located on the opposite side of the lake from the existing Pinecrest Boat Ramp. The site can be reached on foot by hiking around the lake in a counter-clockwise direction via the Pinecrest National Recreation Trail. Boat rental is generally availabe for a rental fee from the Pinecrest Lake Resort. Contracor should confirm with Pincrest Lake Resort for boat availability. The site of the new Day Use Area is located at approximately the coordinates 38 degrees 11.914' North, 119 degrees 58.361 W. There will be a site visit at 11 am on October 24, 2011 at the site. Boat rentals cease on 10/9/2011. Contractor is responsible for making his or her way to the East Shore site by the designated time by either hiking or bringing their own boat. The solicitation will be posted on FEDBIZOPS on or about October 17, 2011. The approximate size of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000.
