- This contract action was not awarded as a fixed price type because uncertainties involved in contract performance did not permit costs to be estimated with sufficient accuracy to use any type of fixed price contract. As such, a cost-reimbursement type action was awarded (FAR 16.301-2). A best value determination has been made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.101-1. This trade-off process permits tradeoffs among price and non-price factors and allows the Government to accept other than the lowest priced offer. Award amount reflects an estimated cost (taking into consideration the offeror's proposed labor cost and the government's estimate for anticipated travel expenses). Official notification to unsuccessful offerors, in accordance with FAR 15.503(b), will be provided by 07 Oct 2011.
