- Warranty Services Necessary to Support and Sustain Power Edge Rack Servers. This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis for non-personal services and for the purpose of conducting market research. Market Research is being conducted to seek qualified contractors other than Dell Inc., with the skills, knowledge, and resources required to complete this effort. The Government is seeking qualified contractors to support the Dell Power Edge Rack and 19 Dell Power Edge 1950 Servers located in the 309th Software Maintenance Group (309 SMXG) located at Bldg 1515, Hill AFB. The Government is in the process of preparing documentation to gain the required approval to issue a sole source request for proposal to Dell Inc. which has supported the Government in this capacity in the past. Statutory authority is 10 U.S.C.2304 (c) (1). Justification: Services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (iii)(A). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not pay for either the effort or the associated costs to respond, or for any information provided. 1. Purpose. The purpose of this effort is to provide the 309th Maintenance Wing (309 MXW) with a warranty service in support of the Dell Power Edge Rack and 19 Dell Power Edge 1950 Servers currently utilized by the Software Engineers in the 309th Software Maintenance Group (309 SMXG). 2. SCOPE: The scope of this effort includes warranty services necessary to support and sustain the Dell Power Edge Rack and 19 Dell Power 1950 Edge Servers utilized by 309 MXW. Specific aspects shall include:. Four (4) Hour 7X24 Service. Keep Your Hard Drive Service (as offered by Dell Inc.). Gold Service Technical Support (as offered by Dell Inc.) It is the government's intent to award a one year warranty contract in support of the Dell Power Edge Rack and 19 Dell Power 1950 Edge Servers required by 309 MXW 3. Information for Interested parties Subject to the Government's consideration, a viable source, not already qualified to provide the requisite services should submit a concise and specific response presenting sufficient information to substantiate that: (a) They possess the necessary skills and resources to support and sustain the Dell Power Edge Rack and Dell Power Edge Servers. and that they can provide the required Dell Inc. license(s) for organizational use at the referenced Air Force sites listed in the "purpose" statement above.   4. Other Information The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541519. Respondents to this announcement should indicate whether they are a small business, 8(a) concern, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, HUB Zone small business, small disadvantaged business, women-owned small business, or historically black college or university (HBCU) or minority institution (MI) (as defined by the clause in DFARS 252.226-7000). Provide information on at least three contracts for similar work within the past five years. Include complete references, contract titles, dollar value, points of contact and telephone numbers. The Government will evaluate relevant experience information based on (1) information provided by the Offeror, (2) information obtained from the references provided by the respondent, and/or (3) data independently obtained from other Government and commercial sources.
