- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS FOR Circular Linear Charge Assemblies (CLCA) B-1 Bomber Aircraft Department of the Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command, OO-ALC/GHGKA PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION This is a Source Sought Synopsis announcement, market research for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. This market research is being conducted to identify potential sources possessing the engineering and manufacturing knowledge for the Circular Linear Charge Assemblies used on the egress system of the B-1 Aircraft. The CLCA's consist of an explosive linear shape charge contained within a sheath. When initiation signal is received, the explosive material detonates, creating a shock wave that severs the two crew entry door supports and ladder/door actuator shaft allowing escape through the bottom of the aircraft. No proposal is requested or accepted from synopsis. This is not a solicitation for proposal and no contract shall be awarded from this synopsis. The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command, OO-ALC/GHGKA, Hill AFB is conducting a market survey for the following requirements. National Stock Number Part Number 1377-01-207-7092 51082-1 1377-01-207-8733 51082-2 1377-01-208-3164 51083-1 INSTRUCTION Provide relevant experience to include performing engineering, manufacturing, inspection, and testing of similar CLCA's in the last 5 years. Company Profile will include the following: A. Number of employees. B. Office Location C. CAGE Code D. DUNS Number E. Small Business designation/status claimed No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The Government has very limited technical data to provide to potential offerors. Offerors must possess access to all appropriate data. Goodrich Corporation, Fairfield, CA has the capability and drawings for the CLCA's and the government does not own or have the rights to use the data required to manufacture this device. Interested offerors shall respond to this Source Sought Synopsis no later than 3:00 PM on 5 October 2011.
