- Title: CAMPGROUND CONCESSIONAIRE Description(s): Added: M--FOREST WIDE CAMPGROUND CONCESSIONAIRE SOLICITATION, INYO NATIONAL FOREST M -- Operation of Government-owned facilities Notice Type: Sources sought The USDA Forest Service, Inyo National Forest in California is pleased to announce the availability of a prospectus for a 5+5 year special use permit, for the operation and maintenance of Government-owned campgrounds located on the White Mountain, Mount Whitney, and Mammoth Ranger Districts. Three permits will be issued; one permit for Complex #1 Rock Creek and Convict Lake Areas, one permit for Complex # 2 Bishop Creek and Big Pine Creek Areas, and one permit for Complex #3 Mount Whitney and Onion Valley areas. The Prospectus(go to Link) http://www.fs.usda.gov/goto/Inyo/Granger-Thye-Prospectus describes the business opportunity and provides instructions for submitting applications. Applications must be received by close of business (4:30 PM) on November 30, 2011 and should be submitted to the Inyo National Forest Supervisor's Office, 351 Pacu Lane, Bishop, CA 93514, Attention: RECREATION Campground Prospectus Bid. A selection will be made in December 2011 so that permits may be issued in January, 2012. Please review the Prospectus carefully. Applicants are strongly encouraged to visit the recreation sites at least once before submitting an application. Each applicant is expected to make an independent assessment of the business opportunity offered in this prospectus. Applicants must submit six (6) copies of their application package and supporting documents in hardcopy format. The same number of copies of the Business Plan must be submitted as a separate document. Unless requested in writing to return proposals, all unsuccessful applicant's proposals and supporting documents will be destroyed after the appropriate appeal period. Portions of the selected applicant's package will become part of the special-use permit. Please ensure that all requested information is submitted. Missing or incomplete information will result in a lower rating for the corresponding evaluation criteria.
