- This Request for Information (RFI) is the initiation of market research under Part 10 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP). This RFI is for planning purposes only and is issued in accordance with FAR Clause 52.215-3. No solicitation document exists at this time. Issuance of this notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Government to procure these items or to issue a solicitation. In addition, the Government is under no obligation to pay and does not intend to pay for information submitted in response to this RFI. Additionally, responses to this notice cannot be accepted as offers. Any information that the vendor considers proprietary should be clearly marked as such. This RFI is for Janitorial Services located in Ocala, Florida. The Clinic is for Audiology and Optometry patients. It consists of approximately 7,000 NUSF. The Contractor shall furnish all the supplies, materials, machinery, appliances and the supervision and labor necessary to provide complete janitorial service at the location listed above for the North Florida/South Georgia (NF/SG) Veterans Health System, Gainesville, Florida. The work required by the contract shall be performed daily 7 days a week, Monday through Sunday, excluding Federal Holidays, in the residential areas; and daily Monday through Friday in the office areas. Work shall begin between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Responses to this RFI must contain the following information: "The vendor's ability to meet the stated requirements "Written capabilities document "Corporate and Technical points of contact "Business size and category, i.e. small, large, disadvantaged "Applicable NAICS Code "Provide information on past performance of providing similar medical-grade janitorial services "Must be licensed to provide service in the State of Florida Interested vendors are requested to submit their responses no later than 2:00 p.m. EST, October 7, 2011. Both e-mail and mail submittals will be accepted; however, e-mail responses are preferred. Emailed responses to this RFI shall be submitted to Lynn Leahy at lynn.leahy@va.gov.
