- The Purpose of this announcement is for the FAA to inform industry of an updated schedule for the National Security Officer Program. An updated schedule is necessary due to delays in receiving budgetary authority, revisions to the solicitation, and increased activity around the end of the fiscal year. SCHEDULE:The FAA has established the following tentative schedule: Issue Final Solicitations 11/18/11Proposals Due 01/12/12Contract Award 05/10/12Service Start Date 10/01/12 This notice is for informational purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these services.
