- ***THIS PROPOSED ACQUISITION IS SYNOPSIZED AND NOW CLASSIFIED AS A PRE-SOLICITATION*** This notice is posted in accordance with FAR 5.2 and 36.213-2. This is a UNRESTRICTED ACQUISITION that will be competed full and open. The NAICS Code is 236220 and the Size Standard is $33.5M. SOLICITATION NUMBER: FA8601-11-B-0008 The project scope includes a minor construction effort for the installation of at a minimum a 32X96" LED sign at the Kitty Hawk Bowling Center. The Electrical portion will require the Excavation, backfill and restoration of trench from mechanical room to location of new sign. The contractor will provide and install all associated conduit, wire and breakers from panel LP-1-1 to sign to provide required 120 volt 20 amp circuits and make final connections. The contractor will need to provide the LED sign that meets the governments' minimum requirements which will be posted with the solicitation. The aforementioned work will take place at Facility K1221. The work site will be available Monday through Friday 9am - 6PM. A 2 week notice will be needed if the installation or removal requires the Facility to close due to suspension of electrical power to the building. If a suspension of electrical power becomes necessary work times may have to be adjusted. Estimated magnitude of proposed acquisition is between $25,000 and $100,000. Special Concerns/Requirements: None. In accordance with FAR 4.1102 and DFARS 252.204-704 "Required Central Contractor Registration," Contractor must be registered in CCR prior to award. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.ccr.gov. NOTES: 1. The solicitation, specifications, and drawings will be available on the World Wide Web on or about 12 October 2011 at: http://www.fbo.gov. The tentative date for receipt of proposals is 12 November 2011 NLT 2:00 PM EST. The period of performance is 45 days. 2. There is no fee for this solicitation. 3. A registration page will be attached to the web site. You are not required to register. However, when you register, you will receive notice of any amendments and/or addenda that may be issued to the solicitation. If you have not registered, it will be your responsibility to check the web site for any changes to the solicitation. 4. You shall provide a signed copy of the SF 1442 at the time and place specified in the solicitation for receipt of proposals. There will be a public opening. Sealed envelopes containing proposals shall be marked to show the offeror's name and address, the solicitation number, and the date and time proposals are due. 5. Contractors shall be capable of securing bonding for the total proposed amount (base plus options). However, contractors shall only be responsible for providing bonding for the base amount plus the amount of any/all options exercised at the time of award. If an option is exercised after award, contractors shall be responsible for securing the additional bonding equal to the amount of the option. 6. Contractors that are Debarred, Suspended, or Proposed for Debarment are excluded from receiving contracts. Agencies also shall not consent to subcontract with these contractors. 7. This is a WPAFB Construction Contracting (PKOC) program. The current status is Pre-Solicitation and it is a Category Z - Maintenance, repair, and alteration of real property.
