- This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage can serve as an alternative if the FBO website is unavailable. The Naval Surface Warfare Center has a requirement for software updates and battery replacements for 149 MK67 Mod 0 Demolition Firing Devices in support of Blue Water Explosive Ordnance Disposal. These updates and replacements were not considered at time of award of N00164-08-D-4279. A requirement for software updates and battery replacements of the MK67 Mod 0 Firing Device were identified during the Weapons Systems Explosive Safety Review Board and Systems Safety Technical Review Panel evaluations performed by the Government after contract award. Rothenbuhler Engineering owns the proprietary rights for the MK67 Mod 0 software which makes them the only source capable of satisfying the Government ™s requirement. The additional CLIN will be added to contract N00164-08-D-4279 under P000012 and a Delivery Order will be placed with Rothenbuhler Engineering on or about 30 September 2011.
