- Description
- The US Forest Service, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, Spring Mountains National Recreation Area is seeking qualified and certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) to make offers on a construction project. The project is to provide all necessary materials, labor, supervision, tools, and expertise for the Desert View Overlook Rehabilitation: This jobe include reconstruction of existing parking area, overlook, and access trail; Enlarging the existing parking area; Replacing the overlook trail with a new accessible trail; Constructing a new overlook and trail; and Performing geotechnical investigation work to excavate the cut bank across the highway. Work includes but is not limited to excavation work, paving, retaining wall construction, concrete work, striping, trail construction, drainage structures, and sign installation. There is an additive bid item, (award optional to the Government), to build this project with an 8:1 slope. The solicitation will be posted here on or before September 15, 2011, and offers will be due on October 17, 2011. There will be a guided site vist, pre-bid meeting at 10:00 AM on September 19, 2011 at the project site. EFFECTIVE 9/30/2011, THE CONTRACTING OFFICER IS MARGE SCHAFER.
