- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using the simplified acquisition procedures under FAR part 13 to procure Custom Made Music Instrument Cases in various sizes for The United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps (D&B) and Marine Band, located in Washington District of Columbia. The Government intends to award a sole source contract for the above supplies to Washington Music Center 11151 Veirs Mill Road Wheaton, MD 20902. The purposed contract action is for supplies for which government intends to solicit only one source. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy the agency requirements. DURATION: This requirement will be for a period of performance of 120 days. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request for quotation. No solicitation document is available and telephone, fax, or e-mail requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is within the discretion of the Government.
