- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is VA-248-11-RQ-1723 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 337110 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees. The requirement is a [Small Business] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. VA West Palm Beach Medical Center has a requirement of Custom Cabinetry in several areas of the Nursing Home and Cancer Center. Requirements of the products are in response to the Cultural Transformation initiative the VA is implementing to provide more of a 'home' look and feel for patients, families and visitors, but yet meet heavy usage and cleaning in a hospital environment. These units are estimated to be completed with six weeks from date of award and are not to exceed 90 days. All offers will be entertained as long as they are received prior to the closing date of 28 September 2011 @ 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST).
