- This posting constitutes MICC-West Point's notice of intent to award on a sole source basis a contract to Krell Technologies, 1126 Campus Dr, Morganville NJ 07751-1261. This is to purchase one REV Micro Polisher manufactured and distributed by Krell. This model is the only available polisher found that is designed for low volume fiber polishing that includes video inspection scope. It is the only one found that meets all of the following necessary specs: 1) Capable of handling bare optical fiber with 125 micron cladding diameter, 250 micron jacket diameter, 2) Video viewing of polishing results without the removal of fiber, 3) Automatic timers for length of polishing for each step, and 4) Includes polishing expendables (rough to fine polishing or lapping films). The estimated award amount is $7,090.00. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirement. The applicable NAICS code is 333314 and the size standard is 500 employees. This is not a request for quotation or a solicitation for offers.
