- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The VA National Acquisition Center intends to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) VA-797-11-RP-0236, for an unrestrictive procurement for Clotrimazole 1% Cream, for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Defense (DoD), Indian Health Service (IHS), Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) and Bureau of Prisons (BOP) and all option 2 state Veteran Homes. The estimated annual usage is as follows: Clotrimazole 1% Cream, 0.5 oz tubes 158,742 and Clotrimazole 1% Cream, 1 oz tubes 462,518. The contract period will be for one year plus four pre-priced one-year option periods. The items must be awarded in an aggregate for continuity of care and patient safety. The contract items will be distributed through the VAs' and DoDs' respective Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor Programs. Offerors must state the exact name (name that appears on label) by which the drug will be supplied and have a unique NDC number. Tubes must be individually packaged in boxes. If the offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted stating that the manufacturer will provide this product to the offeror and the agreement shall remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including the option years. Solicitation No VA-797-11-RP-0236 will be electronically issued in commercial item format in accordance with FAR Part 12 on or about October 06, 2011 with a closing date of 10/18/2011. The NAICS code for this procurement is 325412. Any future amendments and other miscellaneous documents will be available electronically for download at the following URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies of the solicitation will be available, and no telephone requests for paper copies of the solicitation will be accepted.
