Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 14, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 Millions. This requirement is unrestricted and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.fbo.gov will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 9/28/2011 at 1:00pm Central Standard Time or as otherwise displayed at www.fbo.gov. FOB Destination shall be at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Houston, Texas The VHA VISN 16- MEDVAMC, Houston, Texas requires the following items to the following: Lead shielded wall shall be approximately 20 ™ long, 7 ™ high, and 8 ť thick (20 ™x7 ™x8 ť) to be installed for MEDVAMC ™s linear acceleration room in the basement of B-100 at this facility. Installation shall be during non-normal working hours and weekends as scheduling with the Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) Installation must be completed within 90 days after receipt of award. This time is to include design, fabrication, and coordination of installation convenient to both Radiology Department at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and the Contractor. ***Question Submission: Interested offerors must submit any questions concerning the solicitation at the earliest time possible to enable the Buyer to respond. Questions must be submitted by using the 'Submit a Question' feature at www.fedbid.com. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered*** Bid MUST be good for 60 calendar days after close of Buy. Offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database before an award can be made to them. If the offeror is not registered in the CCR, it may do so through the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov.
