- The Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center has CANCELED the intent to negotiate sole source procurement with WT Cox Subscriptions, 201 Village Rd, Shallotte, NC 28470-4441. The proposed contract action is for the MicroMedex subscription for the VISN 7 facilities, clinics and CBOC ™s to include individualized customer service and support to include technical professional 24 hours a day, editorial specialist and customer support representatives and software training. Updates are provided every 90 days. WT Cox is the only authorized reseller of Thomson Reuters, Sole Source, and Proprietary Software MicroMedex. The period of performance is for base and two (2) option period. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-(a)(2)(ii)(A)and(B), only one responsible source. This is not a request for quotes. No solicitation documents will be issued. Firms that believe they can meet the VA's requirements must submit proof to the Contracting Officer no later than September 23, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. local time. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
