- Limited Sources Justification The Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management on behalf of the Office of the Chief Financial Officer awarded a sole source order, under the authority of FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(B) -- Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized; to Edge Systems LLC, 3S721 West Ave, Suite 200, Warrenville, IL 60555 for the procurement of systems support for SUN Microsystems equipment maintenance. SUN Microsystems products include Solaris operating system. The Office of the Chief Financial Officer uses Solaris to run its PeoplePower system. PeoplePower runs on the Solaris operating system, Java platform, and uses UNIX software to maintain security for its databases and other programming work. This is a Firm-Fixed-Priced order with a base period and 4 twelve (12) month option periods.
