This is a combned synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is VA-241-RQ-1568 and is issued as a request for quote. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-43. The NAICS code is 541330. Size standard $4.5M. 0001 - services, construction management, senior project manager in accordance with the statement of work. Base period (10/01/11 - 03/31/2012) 960 Hours. Provide rate per hour. 0002 - services, construction management, senior project manager in accordance with the statement of work. Option period one (04/01/2012 - 09/30/2012) 960 Hours. Please provide rate per hour. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to the acquisition. The provision at 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items apply as follows. Technical - Ability to provide requirements as stated herein with a preference of expereience in the VA. Description/Specifications/Work Statement CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES Senior Project Manager CONTRACTOR IS TO PROVIDE LABOR AND SUPERVISION TO PROVIDE ONE (1) SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER ON BASIS EXCLUDING FEDERAL HOLIDAYS AND WEEKENDS. THE PROJECT MANAGER WILL PERFORM CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS AT THE BEDFORD VA MEDICAL CENTER THROUGHOUT THE ENGINEERING SERVICES OFFICE: 1. REPLACE STACK AND STEAM LINES 2. REPLACE STEAM DISTRIBUTION PHASE III 3. REMOVE UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS ONGOING LITIGATION 4. BOILER DEFICIENCY PROJECT THE SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER WILL BE ASSIGNED TO WORK AND MANAGE THE ABOVE CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS AND OTHE RELATED PROJECTS. THE PROJECT MANAGER WILL BE STATIONED ON SITE AT THE BEDFORD MEDICAL CENTER. EACH WORKDAY WILL BE EIGHT (8) HOURS WORKED BETWEEN 7 AM AND 4:30 PM. DAILY ASSIGNMENTS AND WORK SCHEDULE WILL BE COORDINATED WITH THE ASSISTANT CHIEF ENGINEER.
