- J&A Notice of Intent for Sole Source of E4D FED Full System Oral Scanner Pursuant to FAR Subpart 6.302-1, the U.S. Army, MEDCOM, Western Regional Contracting Office(WRCO), Tacoma, WA, intends to issue a sole source award to Henry Schein in the amount of $111,571.53 to purchase the E4D FED Full System Oral Scanner, including components, located at Evans Army Community Hospital, Fort Carson, CO. The E4D FED Full System Oral Scanner uses a laser digitizer unique to D4D and offers unparalleled imaging for the most accurate results in milling and ultimately better marginal integrity of crowns and inlays for the dental patient. Henry Schein is the sole distributor of the E4D systems, manfactured by D4D Technololgies, the only manfacturer. This notice is not a request for proposal and no solicitation will be issued. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability; and specifications within three (3) calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Responses received will be used for future acquisitions. Information can be sent to the Contract Specialist; Ms. Christina McMurtry, christina.mcmurtry@us.army.mil. No telephone or facsimile requests will be accepted. This procurement will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
