- The US Army Space and Missile Defense Command intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Raytheon Company, Andover, MA, to modify an existing cost plus fixed fee contract (W9113M-08-C-0153) to meet requirements of the Government. The proposed action is pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation(FAR)6.302-1. This action is to provide continued bridging support for the RAID Legacy and RAID BETSS-C systems under the Product Management Office, Integrated Tactical Systems (formerly RAID PO). Award to any source other than Raytheon would result in unacceptable delays and substantial cost. This bridging requirement must be satisfied immediately and no other source can provide within the scheduled requirements. The contract planned period of performance is from 1 December 2011 to 31 May 2012. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, this action is directed towards Raytheon Company. This acquisition is not open to foreign firms. All responses should be directed to Mr. Daniel Detrick, at daniel.detrick@smdc.army.mil and must be received within fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this synopsis. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. The proposed contract action is for supplies or support that the government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is to negotiate a sole source contract, and is not a request for competitive proposals. This synopsis is being issued for information purposes only. Solicitation documents are not available.
