- The U.S. Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office (DOE-ID), intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1 Batterymarch Park, Quincy, MA 02169. NFPA is the sole publisher of the Life Safety Code?, therefore, is the only responsible source. A three-day course entitled 2012 NFPA 101 ?: Life Safety Code? Essentials 3-Day Seminar will be conducted for a maximum of 25 DOE-ID personnel. The course will be a combination of lecture, active discussion, and hands-on exercises to ensure understanding of how the Life Safety Code? is applied. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date. Responses are required to be submitted before September 26, 2011, 3:00 p.m. Mountain Time via e-mail to wagonetl@id.doe.gov. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. The complete Statement of Work (SOW) and the Request for Quote (RFQ) are available upon request. The SOW and RFQ will be sent via email. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
