- This action is for the de-installation, transport and re-installation of existing proprietary equipment and software. The vendor must install proprietary software in the new equipment and replace end of lifespan equipment that can no longer be repaired. Stand-alone digital audio/visual systems and media integration systems will be purposely unified to establish one robust and consolidated infrastructure. The integration of hardware and software requires knowledge of the architecture - from a technical standpoint and facilities vantage point. This sole source required certain technical specifications, which if provided by other vendors, as provided by independent quotes, would have cost a minimum of 25% more and significant delay in timeline. A competition would require analysis of the system, a technical design and proprietary implementation/installation - all of which create additional expenses.
