Description
The United States Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground - Fort Belvoir Division intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract modification on a sole source basis to NIITEK, Inc. of 23031 Ladbrook Drive Suite 100, Dulles, VA 20166. The proposed contract modification will immediately increase the Continental United State (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) level of sustainment services support of the Husky Mounted Detection System (HMDS) currently provided for under the contract W909MY-11-C-0057 and extend said services through 31 December 2011. The scope of the contract includes CONUS and OCONUS system installation, training, and sustainment services to maintain fielded systems. It has been determined that only NIITEK, Inc. is a responsible source and that no other source can satisfy Agency Requirements. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304 (c) (1); Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. However, all responsible sources that can provide supporting data to demonstrate their ability to successfully perform the CONUS and OCONUS system installation, training, and sustainment of the HMDS may submit a capability statement. All responses received within five (5) days of this notice will be considered by the Government solely for the purposes of making a competitive award. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract modification that is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses shall be no longer than five (5) pages and shall be in a Microsoft Word compatible format. The anticipated award date is three (3) days from the closing date of this notice. All responses and requests for information shall be made via email to Patrick Colleran, Contract Specialist, at patrick.r.colleran.civ@mail.mil or Michelle Hodges, Contracting Officer, at michelle.l.hodges10.civ@mail.mil.
