- Description
- The US Meat Animal Research Center, Clay Center, NE, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed priced contract, pursuant to FAR Part 6.302-1 and 41 USC 253 (1), to Rosemount Analytical, Solon, OH, for one X-Stream Enhanced General Purpose Process Gas Analyzer (XEGP) with O2, CO2, CH4 quantification capabilities and SureService Startup and Commissioning. This analyzer contains three distinct analyzers within a single enclosure. The oxygen analyzer is a paramagnetic oxygen analyzer with a 20 - 21% range with an error band of less than ±50 ppm. The carbon dioxide analyzer is an IR bench analyzer which offers a 0 - 0.5% range and a 0 - 5 % range with an error band well-within our specifications of ± 10 ppm. The methane analyzer is also an IR bench analyzer with two ranges (0-500 ppm and 0-5000ppm) and an error band of less than ± 10 ppm. Both the carbon dioxide and methane analyzers have a fully linear output throughout the entire measurement range. The unit is rack mountable and has three distinct outputs and a local display. This analyzer was the only one found after extensive research that could analyze these three gases (O2, CO2 CH4) to the accuracy needed for our particular specifications (O2 ± 50 ppm; CO2 ± 10 ppm; CH4 ± 10 ppm).
