- The U.S. Geological Survey intends to award a noncompetitive delivery order to Agilent Technologies for a triple quadrupole mass spectrometric detector to replace the mass spectrometer detector portion of an existing Agilent liquid chromatograph mass spectrometer. The new detector will replace an old Agilent MS detector which is of an age that availability of parts is no longer guaranteed. An existing Agilent liquid chomatograph will be used to operate the new detector. The use of an Agilent detector will insure that there are no compatability or service issues with the existing system. Any questions may be addressed to the Contracting Officer by email (kmurray@usgs.gov). Refer to Request for Quotes G11PS01077, which will be made available to Agilent Technologies on or about September 16, 2011 with an intended award on or about September 21, 2011. This is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms believing that they can fulfill the requirement are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer at kmurray@usgs.gov. Determination by the Government not to compete this action based on responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining to conduct a competitive procurement.
