- The WNY VA Medical Center in Buffalo, NY intends to negotiate a sole source task order with GE Healthcare, PO Box 7550, Madison, Wisconsin 53707-7550 for service and maintenance of the GE MUSE Cardiology Information System. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price. Negotiation is being conducted using other than full and open competition procedures pursuant to authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested person may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Please indicate past experience and give specific reference of prior contracts and contacts in which the factory maintenance schedule was performed for this exact piece of equipment. The equipment includes proprietary software and software upgrades and is a trademarked product. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within Three (3) business days after publication of this synopsis. Publication shall be on 9/16/2011. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in response preparation. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The WNY VA Medical Center in Buffalo, NY intends to award a sole source contract (5) business days after publication of this notice. P.O.C. is David M.
