- This is a Sources Sought Notice; there is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for solicitation will receive no response. This Sources Sought Notice is published for market research purposes only. This Sources Sought Notice is conducted to identify potential sources capable of meeting the requirements described below. The Wilkes Barre Veterans Affairs Medical Center (WBVAMC) located at 1111 East End Blvd, Wilkes Barre, PA 18711 requires cancer registry services. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, materials, supervision, and other items and incidental services necessary to provide cancer registry services. Services shall be performed remotely, with weekly on-site attendance on required for approximately four hours per week to attend weekly Tumor Registry and quarterly Cancer Committee meetings, and approximately forty hours per year to assist with readiness and preparation for the Commission on Cancer survey. Depending on the contractor ™s experience, it may be possible to attend the meetings remotely. Contractor responsibilities shall include: (a) records maintenance, including completion of abstraction; (b) case abstracting and coding; (c) computer data entry of all cases; (d) meeting reporting requirements of statewide cancer registry and other regulatory agencies as required; (e) maintaining credentials through the National Cancer Registrar's Association; (f) maintaining a cancer database that can be used to evaluate the efficiency of cancer therapy in the region as well as provide a base for epidemiological studies; (g) producing reports, agendas and minutes for tumor registry and cancer committee meetings; (h) assisting with Commission on Cancer survey readiness and preparation; and (i) maintaining patient and records confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974, complying with the terms of Veterans Affairs computer access security agreement, and other applicable government regulations. It is intended that the contract period will include a one base year and four one-year option periods. The applicable NAICS Code is 518210 and the size standard is $25.0M. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice nor will it reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does this issuance restrict the Government's acquisition approach. The Government reserves the right to reject in whole or part any industry input as a result of this announcement. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be a part of this effort. If so, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restricted/non-proprietary information. If the Government decides to award a contract for this or related effort, a solicitation will be published and posted on the FedBizOpps website.
