- Description
- NASA/JSC plans to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for Johnson Space CenterProtective Services Contract (JSCPSC).The services are for protective services analysis, engineering and program management,security services, law enforcement, emergency management, and training. NASA/JSC intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price contract with an IDIQ feature. The period ofperformance will include a 1-year base period and four 1-year option periods, for a totalof a 5 year contract period. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code and Size Standardare 561612 and $18.M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the Draft RFP is on or about September 29, 2011. Industry will then be requested to submit questions in writing by October 31, 2011, sothat the Government may officially respond. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about January 3, 2012, with ananticipated offer proposal due date of on or about February 6, 2012. The Government will not accept proposals in response to the Draft RFP. The Governmentanticipates issuing a modification to this synopsis to announce details of thePre-Proposal Conference. Please monitor the JSCPSC website for schedule updates.All responsible sources may submit an offer to the RFP which shall be considered by theagency. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASABusiness Opportunities home page is http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/jscpsc/. Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It isthe offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of thesolicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible fordownloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). All contractual technical questions must be submitted in writing via e-mail.
