- Notice of Intent to Sole Source: U.S. Customs and Border Protection intends to issue a firm fixed price sole source award to Mobile Mini to continue the rental of temporary portable trailers which are required to provide office space to support the mission of agents and officers in Customs and Border Protection (CBP)/Office of Air and Marine(OAM). The anticipated period of performance for the base year is 10/1/2011 through 9/30/2012, with 4 one year option periods available from 10/1/2012 through 9/30/2016. The CBP OAM agents and OAM support staff require this office space to support UAS Air Operations taking place on Libby Airfield at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. CBP OAM currently occupy's and utilizes the office space referenced in this notice. It is determined to be in the best interest of the Government to continue the rental services from Mobile Mini to avoid any negative impact to cost, schedule and performance due to the associated time and manpower required for the removal and setup procedures for any other portable trailer. In order to continue uninterrupted UAS operations, the proper support infrastructure must remain in place. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) will be utilized for this contract action in accordance with FAR Part 13.
