- This is a Notice of Intent, not a Request for Proposal. A solicitation document will not be issued and proposals will not be requested. The Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center (JCMVAMC) intends to negotiate and award a noncompetitive basis to Pentax of America, Inc for purchase of Digital Video Swallowing Workstation, including hardware and software for fluoroscopy and digital recording. This work station is used to assist with every aspect of dysphagia management. The workstation allows flexibility for data acquisition, analysis, time-linked physiologic and video data and ability to export quantitative information into other analysis software. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy the minimum agency requirements. The NAICS code is 334510. To date our market research indicates Pentax of America is the only company we are aware of who can provide this type of service. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements of this notice, it may request a copy of the Request for Quotation from David Brown at 918-577-3235 or via email at David.Brownc6671@va.gov. The quotation must be completed and returned to David L. Brown, Contracting Officer, by 20 September 2011 by 10:00 AM local time.
