- Description
- The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) Acquisition Management Department, Bethesda, MD on behalf of NCA BRAC intends to award a sole source procurement to FOUR POINTS TECHNOLOGY for nurse call components. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive bids. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The nurse call system is proprietary and only Hill-Rom components will be able to be used to meet the specific need that each patient room possesses. Four Points have been found to provide these components. This is an urgent and compelling need to have these items provided. At this time, patient saftey concern is an issue since there are rooms in use that do not meet nurse call requirements.
