- UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT Notice of Intent to Lease Space Using Other Than Full and Open Competition in Washington D.C. The United States Government intends to award a lease using Other Than Full and Open Competition at 799 9 th Street, NW, Washington, DC for the offices of the Bureau of Public Debt. The Bureau of Public Debt (BPD) is currently housed in this space. BPD occupied this space pursuant to a lease entered into by the Unites States Mint that will expire on October 31, 2011. GSA is in the process of acquiring a long term housing solution for BPD, and this interim 15-month lease at the incumbent location will allow time for GSA to complete the move of BPD to a new location. The following measures are already incorporated into this building that uniquely meets the requirements for this agency: *Strictly controlled vehicle entry onto the property *All visitor vehicles are thoroughly searched by armed Federal guards *Access into the building is controlled through ID checks and magnetometers *24 Hours a day on-site Federal security guards *All incoming mail is x-rayed *Interior and exterior building surveillance cameras This lease will be for a total of 37,637 ANSI BOMA office area square feet of fully serviced space for a 15- month lease term.
