Description
The purpose of this notice of intent is to notify the commercial market of the Government's intent to make an award to R.M. Vredenburg & Co.; a wholly owned subsidiary of CACI Enterprise Solutions, Inc., for the modifications, maintenance and system support necessary the Automated Freedom of Information Act (AFOIA) Project. This is proprietary software developed by R.M. Vredenburg & Co., customized specifically for the IRS. The existing software is a customized approved product for AFOIA and is currently in need of modifications for that specific product. This upgrade will provide long range solutions for development of project which supports AFOIA needs. Without these modifications, maintenance and support, the processing of FOIA requests would be negatively impacted and the process for the Service may be limited in preventing the accurate and possibly timely, AFOIA responsibilities. These modifications, maintenance and support will ensure the necessary updates are handled timely. Period of Performance: for one year from date of award. This requirement will be made on a sole proprietor basis under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1 (a)(C)(ii). The requirement will be fulfilled by the delivery of the above mentioned services. This notice of intent to award should not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a formal Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ) or contract. Any information provided to the Government is strictly voluntary. Responses to the notice of intent to award will not serve as proposals, bids, or offers which could be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. As such, the Government will not cover any costs for any information or inquiry submitted as a result of this request. Please include the name of a point of contact, e-mail address and telephone number should the Government have questions regarding individual responses. Please note: A SOLICITATION DOES NOT EXIST. Any comments should be provided no later than 12:00 pm EST on Tuesday, September 19, 2011.
