- In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration Acquisition Management System (FAAAMS) paragraph 3.2.2.4, Single Source Selection Procurement Process, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the FAA's intent to contract with a selected firm using single source procedures. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a contract to Stratus Technologies, Inc., Wallingford, Connecticut to provide two (2) Stratus ftServer6210 servers and annual maintenance support. These servers will be used for training the NEMC personnel on the MSN server software and hardware that is already installed at the Atlanta and Salt Lake City Training centers. Stratus Technologies Inc. is the sole manufacturer of the Stratus ftServer 6210 and its subsystem components which is an integral part of the FAA NADIN Message ReHost system (NMR) MSN Server subsystem. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. If your firm does not agree with this single source determination, please provide evidence of your firm's capabilities and experience in providing the above required work, and the FAA will evaluate this accordingly. All responses to this announcement must be provided in writing to Michael Vazquez at Michael.vazquez@faa.gov no later than 1:00 p.m. local time, September 16, 2011.
