- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract in accordance to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), only one responsible source. The Providence VA Medical Center requires service and maintenance for our Central Pure Water System. Under statue 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) Providence VA Medical Center intends to make a sole source award of this requirement to American Aqua Systems Inc. The proposed contract action is for the service and maintenance for our Central Pure Water System in our Dialysis Department at the Providence VA Medical Center. The Government intends to award to only one source (American Aqua Systems Inc.) under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). This is a proprietary service available exclusively through one responsible company. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.
