AMENDMENT NOTICE:This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.The solicitation number is W911SG-11-T-01090001 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 611519 with a small business size standard of $7.00M.This requirement is unrestricted and only qualified offerors may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2011-09-19 18:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be FORT BLISS, TX 79916 The U.S. Army ACC MICC Fort Bliss requires the following items, Meet or Exceed, to the following: LI 001, Block I InstructionLHBlock I will offer students a foundation that will be expanded upon through subsequent blocks of instruction and provides a path of study that should be mirrored in day-to-day tasks in service. Subjects include, but are not limited to sanitation and safety, basic knife skills, culinary fundamentals, baking fundamentals, and dining room service fundamentals. Lectures cover theory while objectives taught in class are solidified through the practice that daily operations require. Lessons will be taught via segments of lecture, followed by instructional demonstration, and student practice. A percentage of the laboratory component for each course will done at the student's job site. This is a twelve-week course. More details are provided in the attached Statement of Work.FOB: Destination PURCHASE REQUEST NUMBER: 0010039844, 480, hours; LI 002, Block II InstructionLHBlock II Instruction will provide students opportunities to expand upon the foundation established in Block I Instruction. Subjects include but are not limited to grade manager, saucier, beverage management, mixology, and wine and food pairing. Lectures will follow the same pattern as established in Block I, with emphasis placed on the hands-on activities pursued by the students. This is a twelve-week course. Lectures will follow the same pattern as established in Blocks I and II. Students pursuing the 3rd block of instruction should concurrently be actively involved in assisting and providing leadership to students pursuing the previous blocks of instruction while completing the program. This is a twelve-week course. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction.
