- ANNOUNCEMENT BEST VIEWED AT FAA CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES, HTTPS:/FAACO.FAA.GOV, KEYWORD: ASBESTOS The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for asbestos abatement services. The contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, materials, equipment, tools and supplies to perform emergency, on-call, 24-hour, asbestos management and asbestos and similar contaminant (lead, mold, etc.) abatement projects on an "as required" basis at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center. All work shall be performed in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local regulatory requirements. An Indefinite-Delivery/Requirements type contract with Firm-Fixed-Price pricing arrangements has been awarded to Environmental Action, Inc., Jenks, OK. The contract includes a base year and four 1-year renewal options. These options may or may not be exercised, at the sole discretion of the FAA. The contract was awarded for an estimated 5-year aggregate amount of $1,094,928.45. This contract was competitively awarded, with evaluation be conducted on an acceptable/unacceptable basis, with contract award being made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. Two timely proposals were received.
