- Description
- The Western Montana Acquisition Zone antcipates awarding a contract for window replacement at the Aerial Fire Depot and Dormitory buildings. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to,the complete installation of new windows as follows: - The removal of existing windows and trim - Repair and/or replacement of window support framing that shows wear or damage from weather and or from removal of old windows - Installation of new approved windows per manufacturer specifications to maintain all applicable warranties - If not directly identified through manufacturer specifiations, use appropriate measures to provide weather tight job by using approved window flashing tapes, foam sealants, caulk, etc. - Any necessary finish work including trim and paint-on interior and exterior faces. Building 1 (Loft/Business Office) has 48 windows to replace Building 2 (Dormitory/Northern Rockies Training Center) has 34 windows to replace The Government estimates the value of the work to be between $25,000 and $100,000. The contract time will be 90 calendar days. Work is estimated to start end of September, 2011. The solicitation will be available on approximately August 24, 2011. A site visit of the work will be scheduled for August 31, 2011 at the Aerial Fire Depot Visitors Center at 1:00pm MST. COR, Bruce Crockett will be at the site visit to discuss the details of the job and answer any questions that may arise. Amendment 001 changes the NIACS code 236210, Industrial Building Construction to 238150, Glass and Glazing Contractors Date set for receipt of quotes has been extended from September 15, 2011 to September 22, 2011.
