This announcement constitutes only the pre-solicitation notice; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued on or around 12 August 2011. Solicitation number FA4600-11-R-0042 is being issued as an Request For Proposal(RFP). The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the date. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-53. All applicable provision and clauses are included in the actual solicitation. This electronic announcement constitutes the only pre-solicitation notice being issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238290, and the small business size standard is $14 Million; which is a 100% set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. The magnitude of this requirement is between $10,000 and $25,000. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price construction contract with a period of performance (POP) of 60 days. The scope of this project consists of replacing entrance doors with sound control doors on Offutt AFB, Nebraska. Please reference solicitation # FA4600-11-R-0042 on all correspondence. Notice to Offerors-All contractors shall be ORCA registered http://orca.bpn.gov. All contractors are reminded, in accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration; contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. If the Offeror does not successfully register in the CCR database in the time prescribed by the Contracting Officer, the Contracting Officer will proceed to award to the next otherwise successful registered Offeror.
