- 1. In technical requirement 1, should the specification referenced be MIL-STD-188-144a ? The KY-100 documentation should reference STD-188-114 2. Our COTS product meets the majority of the requirements, but not all. Is 100% compliance essential, or should we quote additional development on an itemized basis? All proposals will be technically evaluated and if it is determined that the Government requirements are too strict, the Government may determine to relax specific requirements which may be unrealistic so as long as it doesn't affect the overall performance and function of the device. Non Reoccurring Engineering (NRE) costs are acceptable for product development. 3. Would the end-user be interested in a demonstration as part of the evaluation? We are not asking for demonstrations. Sufficient technical information must be provided to allow for technical evaluation of acceptability. 4. Our product provides 4 interfaces in one unit. The solicitation requests 8 Plug-In modules, but it is unclear whether each plug-in module was intended to accommodate 4 radio/KY-100 interfaces or just one? Each plug-in module was intended to accommodate one radio interface. The equipment is intended to support two radio interfaces from two remote sites and relay the encrypted audio to a local source, for a total of four radio interfaces.
