- Description
- PRESOLICITATION NOTICE - Video Surveillance System, NRM Project, at the VA Medical Center in Tomah, WI. Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, temporary protection, qualified supervision, overtime, and other items designated under the provisions of this contract as outlined in the contract specifications and as shown on the contract drawings. This project will include Creation of a Central Monitoring Center, acquisition and installation fixed and pan tilt zoom Internet protocol cameras at identified locations throughout a 172 acre campus. The contractor will also be responsible for integration of new cameras, as well as all existing campus camera systems into the Pegasus security system and the installation of centralized monitoring and recording equipment in the newly created Central Monitoring Center. The use of existing network and electrical resources (including fiber optic) will be maximized. Network and electrical power connections will be required at most of the new camera locations. All work completed above existing ceilings requires coordination with the on-site fire department and the appropriate sealing of all penetrations made in smoke or fire barriers. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOpps. There will be a pre-bid conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid conference will be included in the solicitation package. This solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms. The solicitation will be issued on or about September 26, 2011 with the bid opening on or about October 26, 2011. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $33.5 Million applies. Time for completion is 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed.
