Description
Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), Southwest, San Diego, California is announcing its intent to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Mishap Prevention and Hazard Abatement (MPHA) Program. This procurement an 8(a) set-aside acquisition. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this requirement is 541690, Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services. The Small Business Size Standard is $7M. The Government ™s intent is to issue a Single Award, Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with Firm-Fixed Price, Exhibit Line Items (ELINs). The resulting contract will be awarded for a base period of one year with two-one year option periods. The RFP will contain a detailed performance work statement describing the Government ™s requirements. FAR Part 15 is applicable to this acquisition. The intent is to award without discussions. The solicitation will be available by electronic media only and will be available for review and downloading at the Navy Electronic Commerce On-line and Federal Business Opportunity Websites at: www.neco.navy.mil and https://www.fbo.gov/ respectively on or about the September 26, 2011. There will be no paper copies of this solicitation issued. Amendments to the solicitation will also be posted on the NECO and FedBizOps Websites. This will be the only method of distribution of the amendments; therefore, it is the offeror ™s responsibility to check the NECO and FedBizOps Websites periodically for any amendments to the solicitation that may be issued. The solicitation is anticipated to close at 4:00 p.m., local time on October 26, 2011. Reference the Solicitation Number N62473-11-R-4604 on all requests for information or correspondence regarding this solicitation notice.
