Description
Falcon Drawings 2 Falcon Drawings 1 Amendment 003 is issued to respond to questions as follows: Q4. There is no mention of power for the flowmeters and the length for the coaxial cable. Can we assume that 120 VAC and 150 feet of coaxial cable would be good? Just to confirm, three independent system flowmeters are needed for the Penstock and two independent system are needed for the hollow jet valves? Are the hollow jet valves located in the same area (site) as the Penstock? A4. In reference to power and cable length for the flow meters, there is 120 VAC in the exposed area of the penstock. The location where the flow meters will be mounted is at power plant elevation 171.25 feet and the control room is at the 236.25 feet elevation. Please refer to the attached pdf drawings showing a cross sectional view and a top view of the power plant and penstocks. Consider about 250 feet in length approximately due to turns on cable trays etc. There are no cable trays in the bottom floor of the power plant, the cable trays are only in the bottom floor of the control room, that is approximately 25 to 30 feet below the control room. Each penstock shall have its own flow meter. There are two hollow jets valves that shall have a flow meter for each valve. Please refer to the pdf drawing for power plant layout of penstock and hollow jet valves. IMPORTANT: Is very important for the operators to have an amount of water per unit in order to account for the water requested. The units that the operators use are decameters. They need to know how much water passed on each unit over a period of time.
