Solicitation Number: NHLBI-CSB-(AR)-2011-364-CRS Solicitation Type: Competitive Suggested Source: Full and Open Competition Title: Brand Name - SMD Filter for use in Leica SP5 FLIM Module, Leica DM6000 Microscope, and Leica TIRF AFC Module for use in Leica Sp5 FLIM module. NAICS: 334516/500 Employees The solicitation number is NHLBI-CSB-(AR)-2011-364-CRS and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation/contract will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53, August 4, 2011. This is Full and Open Competition. The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Office of Acquisitions, COAC Services Branch, has a requirement for the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS). Background The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) Office of Scientific and Technology, Light Imaging Section requires light microscopy equipment for a wide variety of NIAMS users. The following equipment is needed: -4 new filter cubes that will be used on the FLIM system that's attached to the Leica Sp5 NLO microscope. Specifications- SMD filter for use in Leica SP5 FLIM module Equipment components include: SMD filter cube DAPI, SMD filter cube CFP/YFP, SMD Filter cube CFP/RFP, SMD filter cube FITC, TRITC - Replacement Equipment for the Leica DM6000 microscope Specifications- Equipment components and services: Upright fluorescence microscope with magnification changer, Trino Ego tube with Bertrand lens, Motorized side port, Motorized condensor, EL6000 external light source with bulb, Module for integrated modulation contrast, integrated Phase contrast and Brightfield, 8 position filter turret, 5x, 10x, 20x, 40x, 63x objective lenses, Leica Application Suite software, Application support during business hours, Factory training technical support staff, Installation and training by factory trained staff. - Leica TIRF AFC Module Specifications- Equipment components include: DMI6000 B TIRF w. Adaptive Focus Control' Optic carrier (IMC), Fluo turret mot,6pos,mot.MC,1xTL1xTL-AFC, Tube lens 1.6x for Mag. Changer, Trino-Ergo tube 100% with Bertrand lens, Sideport Module, motorized, left & right, Sideport Prism 100%, left, Sideport Prism 100%, right This requirement is under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334516, and the Size Standard is 500 employees. Quotations are due September 16, 2011 by 8:00 a.m., Eastern Time. The award will be made based upon the technical specifications of the required products and delivery period in this synopsis, and to the lowest price, technically acceptable quote meeting the Government's requirements. The offerors must submit written descriptive literature of the product in their proposal, an itemized price list and warranties of the product quoted. The Government intends to evaluate offerors and award a contract without discussions with offerors. Therefore, the initial offer should contain the offerors best terms from a technical and price standpoint. However, the Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if later it is determined by the Contracting Officer to be necessary. The Government may reject any or all offers, waive informalities and minor irregularities in offers received. The offeror's proposals must include itemized price lists of charges, complete description of services, complete address for invoice payment and purchase order delivery, prompt payment discount terms, the Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), the taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and certification of business size of the company. Note: In order to receive an award from NHLBI, contractors must have a valid registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) www.ccr.gov, and ORCA https://orca.bpn.gov/login.aspx. The proposal must reference the Solicitation number NHLBI-CSB-(AR)-2011-364-CRS. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which if timely received shall be considered by the agency.
