- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a modification to Contract number N00019-10-C-0008 to BAE systems of Austin, Texas, for the upgrade of the ALE 47 Power PC and allowing for the addition of EMI testing. ALE 47 is a forward firing dual dispenser pod (DDP) ship set. The modification will be awarded on a sole source basis to BAE Systems under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." BAE is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of these ALE 47 components and the only known firm with the unique engineering experstise, knowledge and souce data to perform this requirement.
