- In a collaborative endeavor to foster team building between the Government and Industry, the BES II Team will be conducting an Industry Day to receive constructive feedback and discuss technical and programmatic issues related to the pending BES II acquisition. The discussions will focus on the requirements and capabilities associated with BES II system, incorporation of Future Army System of Integrated Targets (FASIT) standards, as well as managing total ownership costs. Industry Day will be initiated with a general overview session of the BES II acquisition, followed by an open forum Question and Answer session. These sessions will be open to all companies interested in the BES II acquisition. After the conclusion of the general sessions, time will be set aside for One-on-One sessions with the Government to allow companies to discuss any particular aspects or details of the overall program or program documentation (Statement of Work, Interface Control Documents, Performance Specifications, etc). Below outlines the process to accommodate industry inquiries of the BES II Program. Companies will have the opportunity for a 60 minute One-on-One session with the Government to address technical and programmatic issues. Scheduling will be coordinated through the Contract Specialist, Gina Christensen, at Virginia.christensen@us.army.mil. Questions that are "generic" or related to the overall program and are deemed to affect all companies may be answered and subsequently posted on the FedBizOpps website along with the list of attendees with POC information. Those questions deemed specific to a company's technical approach may be answered solely to the submitter and will not be posted for public review. Industry is asked to identify questions of a proprietary nature. The Government will not provide any assessment of technical solutions during the One-on-One sessions or in the submitted questions. No marketing briefings or presentations of any kind will be authorized or discussed during the One-on-One sessions. The purpose is to provide offerors an opportunity to get any additional BES II related questions answered that were not previously answered to your satisfaction. The Industry Day is scheduled to be held on 20 September 11 through 21 September 11 at the following location: Building PII, Room 209 at 3100 Technology Parkway, Orlando, FL 32826. Responses in any form are not offers and the Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement.
