- Tenacious 1,000 hr maintenance The Chugach National Forest is requesting quotes on the following Statement of Work: The Tenacious is a 2004, 36' welded aluminum crew boat built by Weber Marine. It is powered by two (2) Yanmar diesel engines. The 1,000 hour maintenance service as per OEM procedure is required on the two (2) Yanmar 6LPA-STZP diesel engines. The service work required for both engines, includes but is not limited to the following:  Replace timing belt;  Change antifreeze;  Wash turbo blower;  Check fuel oil/cooling water plumbing;  Check/replace mixing elbows;  Service engine oil cooler;  Change lube/oil/filters;  Inspect/replace anti corrosive zincs/engine plugs. This work shall be completed by a certified Yanmar mechanic due to the sensitive nature of the engines. Mechanic must provide proof of current Yanmar certification. Line item 003: This Statement of Work (SOW) captures standard 1,000 hour Yanmar features. Any maintenance or repairs outside the SOW shall be approved in writing in advance by the Contracting Officer. Vendor shall provide a detailed written estimate to Contracting Officer. Decisions will be made after the Forest Service receives the detailed written estimate. Vendor shall NOT proceed with work without prior authorization. Travel: Federal per diem rates would apply and are enclosed on page 26. Price break down of flights/per diem/excess baggage charges shall be supplied with the quote on Page 2. Travel receipts will not be required. Service Contract Act Wages apply and are enclosed on page 31. Past Performance sheet enclosed on page 41. Please include three (3) references with your return quote. Availability to Perform the Work - Provide schedule listing possible dates when mechanic would be available to travel to perform the repair work.
