- The United States Marine Corps Systems Command is seeking information from potential qualified Women Owned Small Businesses that have the capacity and capability to provide the following items: Single mode fiber optic cables; Cat 5 shielded network cables; simple electronic cables, including power cables and grounding plugs; miscellaneous hardware, including fasteners and brackets; engravings (name plates); operator headsets; footswitches; and jack boxes in support of the Common Aviation Command and Control system. A complete set of drawings is available for all items. Based on our preliminary market research, the Government is considering limiting this competition to Women Owned Small Businesses with some or all of the following NAICs codes: 332710 Machine Shops 334417 Electronic Connector Mfg 334419 Other Electronic Connector Mfg 335921 Fiber Optic Cable Mfg 335999 All other Misc. Electrical Equip & Component Mfg In order to complete our market research, the Government is requesting interested Women Owned Small Businesses submit a capabilities package, no later than 1600 EST, 21 September 2011, to: Susan Banach, susan.banach@usmc.mil Request the capabilities package include at a minimum, the following information: Company Name, Address and Point of Contact (POC) for contracting matters; A list of current Government contract numbers for similar work, including Contract Number, Dollar Value, Type of Contract, and Government POC; Previous contract numbers for similar work, including Contract Number, Dollar Value, Type of Contract, Government POC; and A description of your production facilities, including Location, Size, and Certifications, such as IPC/WHMA-A-620. This RFI is for planning purposes and shall not be construed as an invitation to bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as obligation on the part of the Government to acquire products or services. Responses shall be treated as information only and part of market research and will not be shared outside of the Government. All information shall be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government, no entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges to the Government as a result of contractor responses to this announcement.
